Siyakholwa, proud to be one of 28 social employment implementing partners, is honoured to have been selected for this significant role.  Based on Mthatha, our dedicated team is actively engaged in combatting the prevalent issue of high unemployment amongst women and young people in the community.  Through our initiatives, we offer two days of work per week on projects that involve constructing and maintaining community gardens and children’s centres.  This employment opportunity, not only provides individuals with a much-needed income, but also enables them to apply for other jobs, thanks to the financial stability gained.  Moreover, our participants gain valuable skills throughout the programme, equipping them for future employment prospects beyond their time with Siyakholwa.  We take great pride in empowering individuals, fostering self-sufficiency, and making a tangible difference in the lives of our community members.
